What do gamers have to look forward to after Tax Day?

April 27 is the release date for Nintendo’s Mario Kart Wii. This latest installment in the popular racing franchise that stretches back into the mists of Super Nintendo days will feature competitive online play come bundled with a Wii Wheel peripheral that runs off your existing Wii Remote.

The cost: $49.99.

Even more exciting is the ability to use your own Mii avatars as racers in the game, in addition to the usual stable of classic Nintendo characters such as Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach and Bowser.
