Here are six recently released screen shots from the Nintendo DS update of Gauntlet.
IGN reports that the game, due out Oct. 28, features a new 3D graphics engine, adjustable camera angles, local wireless and online four-player mode and voice chat. It’s priced at $29.99 and rated T for teens.
Gauntlet was a 1985 fantasy hack-and-slash arcade game and one of the first digital dungeon crawls. It has been ported to many console and handheld versions. Players had a choice of four characters: Thor the Warrior, Merlin the Wizard, Thyra the Valkyrie or Questor the Elf.
Judging from the game’s box art (right), ol’ Merlin either transformed into a sexy sorceress or decided to sit this adventure out.
