The finals for EVO 2017.

For those uninitiated, one of the biggest competitive fighting game tournaments in the world is getting set to kick off this weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. Evolution (or EVO, as it’s referred to), will take place on Aug. 3-5 at the Mandalay Bay. Thousands of players will be in attendance, duking it out for their shot at first place glory and several thousand dollars in prize money.

The EVO 2018 competition will cover a slew of games including Street Fighter VDragonball FighterZTekken 7, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and many more. EVO will host a robust streaming schedule throughout the weekend, with almost 60 commentators calling matches over seven different Twitch channels (eight, including the Capcom Fighters channel). The action kicks off early Friday and continues all the way until finals on Sunday night.

Most notable will be the inclusion of “The Jump Off,” a stream that bounces between live matches of different games, rather than dedicating airtime to a single game for the entirety. The full stream schedule can be viewed below.
