‘Star Trek Online’ developer changes hands

Star Trek OnlineThe final frontier has a new owner.

As reported by Airlock Alpha, Cryptic Studios, producers of the MMORPG Star Trek Online, has been sold by game developer Atari to the Chinese company Perfect World. The sale price is $50.4 million.

Atari picked up Cryptic in 2008. STO launched early last year.
