The past two weeks have seen the Warcraft movie come out, and now that Overwatch is live other games are starting to get patched or ramped up into testing!

Did you see the Warcraft movie?  What did you think?  If you missed it, I was able to see the movie early with my good friend, and fellow Nerdvana author Bob Leeper, and here are our reviews of Warcraft! Have you secured your Battle.net account with an authenticator? If you haven’t done so yet, check out the One-Button Authenticator which should make securing your account much easier! Do you want to participate in BlizzCon contests this year?  Don’t miss the sign-up page and submit before Aug. 1!

Diablo 3 – Big changes are coming to D3! Learn more from the Patch 2.4.2 PTR Patch Notes for more on added Torment levels, set and item changes, and Adventure Mode updates too!  Ever wonder how the Treasure Goblin got his sound effect? Look no further than this Developer Insight on it to understand the unique situation which has added such a great flavor to the game. Also, if you have missed the Play Your Way feature then rejoice as it returns this Thursday!

HearthStone – If you are looking for ways to expand your knowledge of the high-end game, see the Europe Spring Championship Decklists for the final 8 players!  This next month you can visit Fireside Gatherings for the Midsummer Fireside Festival with some loot that you can get!

Heroes of the Storm – The Preseason is over so that means the leaderboard and played stats are final!  Now that Season 1 has started, there are new rewards available now! Also available now are the recent Patch Notes which introduce the new Season, MMR changes, and an Unranked Draft Mode! Oh, and let’s not forget about the new hero Medivh has been introduced too! Then find out more about the Weekly Sale featuring Cho’Gall and Zagara, some new fantastic fan art, and Twitch streaming schedule from many different people!

Overwatch – A few weeks ago I reported about Overwatch going live, but since there there has not been too much new except for the patch Tuesday that reduced McCree and Widowmaker damage outputs some and a Developer Update video that focuses on new content coming like Competitive Play! Oh, and of course there is an exclusive Funko Pop! Overwatch figure directly from Blizzard too!

StarCraft 2 – The Patch Notes for 3.3.2 are adding emoticons and a new Co-op map The Vermillion Problem!

World of Warcraft I mentioned at the beginning of the article about the Warcraft movie, but did you know there is a prequel graphic novel coming out to go further into the history between Llane, Medivh, and Lothar?!  You can also watch a recap of the movie premiere event as well! With all of the interest in Warcraft that might lead new players into WoW, Blizzard has put together many articles about the new player experience including guided tours of Stormwind and Orgrimmar, the basics about combat and movement, and a guide to the Elwynn Forest zone for starting human characters! There is also an article about a low level Horde quest line AND a high level quest line for BOTH Horde and Alliance which might be something new for brand new players or those coming back to the game!

The Legion expansion is getting closer and closer, which you can tell by the fact that the pre-expansion patch is hitting the PTR and Legion Live Developer Q&A’s happening this past Thursday and every Thursday going forward! This means that the Brawler’s Guild is closing down when the pre-expansion patch hits, and also that the moose mount reward for killing Archimonde on Heroic will be going away when Legion hits!
