Back in August, a little video game called BioShock was released on the Xbox 360 and PC.  It impressed an overwhelming number of critics and gamers, including yours truly (check out my review).  On Sunday, Spike TV hosted their annual Video Game Awards and BioShock took home the grand prize – Game of the Year.  Sure there were other games fighting for the award (The Orange Box, Mass Effect, and Halo 3), but BioShock’s intense graphics, great music and voice acting, and exciting/creepy story bested them all.  Having played through all of those games I couldn’t agree more with honoring BioShock.  It offers an unique experience you will not find in any other game, and that’s saying a lot.
