An update on ‘Magic’ creator’s next game: ‘Ku-Mighty’

Ku-Mightyio9 blogger Ed Grabianowski of Robot Viking looks at a game now in development from Magic: The Gathering creator Richard Garfield that he says could be the heir to that still-popular collectible card game.

Ku-Mighty has been in the works for nearly two years, at least — I wrote about it in August 2009 and I had forgotten all about it until I read Ed’s post on io9.

He describes some innovative game mechanics and teases us with hints of “an additional random component, aside from the randomness of drawing cards from shuffled decks.”

Magic, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! still seem to be going strong, but there’s a challenger waiting in the wings.
