PHOENIX – Disneyland’s highly anticipated new land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, opened today in Anaheim, California and Jedi, Ewoks, and droids came from all over the galaxy to take a look (not really because you had to make an advanced reservation, but you get the point).
So what is everyone buzzing about? The food of course!
Because Disney does not do anything lightly, all the food is perfectly in theme and meant to make the guest feel like they are in an entirely different galaxy.
Welcome to Batuu! Here is a guide to all eatery for your stay.
DOCKING BAY 7 FOOD AND CARGO- This is Galaxy’s Edge’s main restaurant. It features dishes such as FriedEndorian Tip-Yip (rectangle shaped fried chicken) and Kaadu Ribs (smoked country sticky pork ribs with a blueberry corn muffin and cabbage slaw).
OGA’S CANTINA, the watering hole of Black Spire Outpost- You may have heard the rumors that this land will be the first in all of Disneyland to sell alcohol (besides Club 33 and DCA) and it is true!
Drinks are neon in color and come with unique names such as the Fuzzy Tauntaun and Dagobah Slug Slinger. A range of beers, wines and ciders are also available.
Non-alcoholic drinks include Tatooine Sunset which is tea based and sweet. Many of these selections range from fruity juices to teas and coffee.
RONTO ROASTERS: A giant podracer engine serves as the establishment’s cooker. This place is reportedly all about meat!
In the morning you can try their Rising Moons Overnight Oats. In the afternoon, come in for a Ronto Wrap- which is similar to a hot dog.
THE MILK STAND: You can try both green and blue milk! Both are offered regular or frosted and reportedly have a citrus flavor but are made from plant-based milk products.
For a snack, try Kat Sakes’ Kettle popcorn. It is sweet, salty and addictive.
