PHOENIX – Superheroes and villains, head to Desert Ridge Marketplace! The shopping and dining center is getting a comic-book themed restaurant and bar.
ComicX is based out of Mexico with over 36 locations, but this one will be its first in the United States.
The restaurant franchise is known for it’s life-like character statues and scenic displays that make you feel like you’re living within the pages of your favorite comic book.
Not only can you expect to be entertained, you can also purchase one-of-kind comic book memorabilia sold at the store inside as well.
ComicX is known for its attention to detail, down to the menus, which are meant to resemble actual comic books. Whether you’re into comics or not, the restaurant serves a wide variety of American food options including, burgers, fries, nachos, pizza and salads.
According to the company’s website, it all started with four friends wanting to turn their love for comic books into an everyday business.
The 8,000 square foot restaurant will be located between Sweet Tomatoes and Majerle’s Sports Bar.
It’s set to open sometime this summer.
