Cerreta Candy Co. will satisfy any sweet tooth

By JR Cardenas

PHOENIX – In downtown Glendale, Ariz., you’ll find a lot of historic buildings. One of those is a candy company called Cerreta’s, which has been in the Valley for over 50 years by Jim Cerreta.

The company has been a staple in the community since the beginning. Chances are you’ve tried their candy, just not labeled as Cerreta’s. The company makes candy for Bashas, Sky Harbor, and more.

The building carries so much history and tours are available twice a day for everyone to take a glimpse at the candy-making process. Not much has changed in the past 50 years.

One of the machines in the building is the same mode machine that was used in one of the most famous episodes of the show I Love Lucy, and it’s still in operation to this day.
