Vul-Con logoVul-Con organizer Jay Mann sent along some updates on Vul-Con Arena I, the preview event for the Valley’s newest gaming convention taking place April 2 at Gamer’s Inn in Mesa.

Confirmed events for the mini-con include:

  • Wings of War (Learn How to Play and Tournament, sponsored by Fantasy Flight Games)
  • Dust Tactics (Learn How to Play and Tournament, sponsored by Fantasy Flight Games — the first “official” Dust Tactics tournament in the Southwest)
  • Gladiator (90mm Scale Gladiators battle in a 5’ diameter coliseum)
  • Circus Maximus (Race Chariots in a Miniature Hippodrome nearly 20’ long)
  • Prelude To Alesia – 15mm Miniatures
  • Ancients – Rome vs Gauls – Sponsored by the Table Top Gaming Society (TACTICA Rules, no prior experience necessary)
  • Tribune (Board Game Learn How to Play and Tournament, sponsored by Fantasy Flight Games) – I’m loving the name of this one
  • Adventures Under the Laughing Moon RPG (Run by Game Creator Todd Van Hooser).
  • The Arizona Men in Black will be running some Steve Jackson Games at Vul-Con Arena I (the exact games are still being determined).
