Ferengi, Klingons and Cardassians (oh, my)

Create Your Own Eberron D&D Adventures @ Dungeon Masters Guild

The Star Trek 45th Anniversary Celebration Convention is this weekend at Phoenix’s Sheraton Crescent Hotel. While it features actors from most eras of the Star Trek universe, it’s really more of a Deep Space Nine convention as you can see from the guest lists below:

Representing the Klingon Empire:

  • J.G. Hertzler (General-turned Chancellor Martok, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
  • Robert O’Reilly (Chancellor Gowron, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
  • Barbara March and Gwynyth Walsh (The Duras sisters, Lursa and B’etor, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and the movie Star Trek: Generations)

Representing Quark’s Bar, Grill, Gaming House & Holosuite Arcade and the Ferengi Commerce Authority:

  • Armin Shimerman (Quark, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
  • Max Grodenchik (Rom, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
  • Jeffrey Combs (Liquidator Brunt, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

Representing the Dominion of the Gamma Quadrant:

  • Jeffrey Combs (Weyoun, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine — Combs truly is the man of 1,000 faces and probably my favorite Trek character actor!)

Representing the Cardassian Union:

  • Casey Biggs (Legate Damar, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

Representing Starfleet and the United Federation of Planets:

  • Vaughn Armstrong (Admiral Forrest, Star Trek: Enterprise; also has played several Klingons, Cardassians, a Romulan, Borg and assorted other alien species)
  • Barry Jenner (Admiral Ross, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

Tickets for the convention range from $10 or $35 for single-day tickets to $19 for general-admission weekend, and all the way up to $279 for a weekend package that includes reserved seats, free in-person autographs and admission to a Saturday night Star Trek “Rat Pack” performance of parody music and jokes by many of the stars listed above.
