MADCAP Theaters in Tempe will host a screening of the 1991 comedy Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead at 10 p.m. June 25 to raise money for the Midnite Movie Mamacita’s new Royale theater project in downtown Mesa.
Tickets cost $10 and all of the proceeds will go toward the new venue, according to the Mamacita herself, Andrea Beesley-Brown.
Guests are encouraged to dress up in their “ultimate, yet hideous, 80’s/90’s fashions and prepare to walk the runway.” The event will be hosted by “drag sensation Becky Bodacious,” who will have some fashions on hand to lend the style-challenged.
