Phoenix Comicon Fan Fest 2016

Phoenix Comicon Fan Fest — Phoenix Comicon’s smaller, cooler cousin — is returning for a third year, but there are changes: Rather than December in Glendale, get ready for October in Downtown Phoenix.

Convention organizers announced Thursday that the third annual Fan Fest will take place Oct. 22-23 at the Phoenix Convention Center. “The change to location and timing has come after feedback we received from our amazing participants that the location and timing made the show difficult to attend,” organizers posted on Facebook. For the last two years, the event has been held in December at Glendale’s University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.

Fan Fest memberships will go on sale in late June, according to Phoenix Comicon organizers.

The flagship summer event, Phoenix Comicon itself, will be June 2-5, also at the Phoenix Convention Center.
