Barnes & Noble stores host Magical Holiday Ball for Harry Potter fans

Books, Events, Top story

If your idea of a holiday celebration more closely resembles Hogwarts than ho-ho-ho, have we got a treat for you.

Barnes & Noble stores will transform into a venue for enchanting entertainment Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. local time with the Magical Holiday Ball.

The event, inspired by the infamous Yule Ball depicted in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, will include wizard-themed crafts, games, music and a few surprises. And, of course, you’ll be able to fill in any gaps in your collection of arcane artifacts, books and movies.

With the recent publication of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play script and the big-screen release of a new chapter in wizarding history, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, there’s plenty for witches and wizards, young and old, to celebrate this year!

So dust off those dress robes (and if you’re a Weasley, this could take a while …) and brush up on your digital divination skills to find a Barnes & Noble location near you.

Just don’t show up for the Magical Holiday Ball without knowing your patronus and Ilvermorny house first — that would be such a muggle move.
