Girls and green at Mesa’s Second Friday block party

Old School RPGs - Available Now @

Second Fridays are usually an experience in downtown Mesa these days, thanks to the involvement of creative folks like Evermore Nevermore. This month is no different.

For one thing, Evermore Nevermore (the East Valley Tribune’s staff pick for “best place to find uncommon gifts”) is holding an all-girl art show (“GASP!”).

There will be the usual mix of vendors and live music, but also recycling and xeriscape information in keeping with this month’s “green theme” — as well as green beer and even a green chocolate fountain.

Um … yum?

If that’s not enough, check out the gigantic illuminated inflatable labyrinth named Amococo at the nearby Mesa Arts Center. Tribune writer Mandy Zajac has more details on the Friday frenzy here.
