Mesa geek haven Gamer’s Inn no longer open 24/7

Events, Gaming, RPGs

Mesa geek spot Gamer’s Inn — 1232 E. Southern Ave., No. 14 — has been known for its 24/7 access to gaming tables and LAN terminals, but starting Saturday the shop will be closed Monday through Wednesday, then open all hours again up until the next Monday.

This lets the store focus on weekend service with the front-end of the week reserved for upkeep and restocking geek gear.

Even on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the store says, customers who placed orders online can pick them up anytime.

“This is not an easy change, but it’s something that has to occur for the time being,” a store rep posted on the official Gamer’s Inn Facebook fan page.

UPDATE: Gamer’s Inn has updated its Facebook page to clarify that customers who place online orders will NOT be able to pick them up at the store on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but will be offering a coupon code to Arizona customers for local shipment:

Arizona customers: Due to the nature of our reorganization and fact that we will be closing Mon-Wed, we will not be able to have in-store orders being picked up on the days we are closed. Fear not! If you cannot wait to pick up your order on the days we are open, we now have a AZ only coupon code for shipping orders locally! Using the Coupon Code “LOCAL” anyone in Arizona can get their order shipped First Class Mail starting at less than $1.50. We will be listing card sleeves, miniatures, and most of our other inventory, so that you may shop at the leisure of your home!

We understand the frustration for our local customers that place online orders with us, and we thank you for your understanding and patience.
