Here are some highlights off the wire from Monday’s Sony presentations at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles:

A video screen shows off Sony Corporation’s next generation portable gaming machine, PlayStation Vita, as it displays a forthcoming game called ModNation Racers. PlayStation Vita is a touch-interface and motion-sensitive handheld that will go on sale before the winter holidays for $250 to $300.

  • It’s funny how everyone is so quick to count the 3DS out already. While $249 is without question going to put pressure on Nintendo to drop the price, it doesn’t mean the 3DS is dead it just means it’s priced too high right now.

    The DS was way less powerful than the PSP and I owned both and you know which one I ended up playing the most? The DS because it was more comfortable to play and the games were either better or just more portable friendly.

    I’m most likely going to get a Vita too but I wouldn’t count a Nintendo portable out just yet.
