Can’t take the heat: MADCAP Theaters shut down for rest of summer

MADCAP TheatersBad news-good news, theatergoers: Phoenix New Times reports that MADCAP Theaters in Tempe has had to shut down for the second summer in a row due to air-conditioner woes. All events there through the end of summer have been scrubbed.

Victor Moreno’s Cult Classics screenings, however, will continue at the Pollack Tempe Cinemas at McClintock Drive and Elliott Road. He told New Times he hopes to be back at MADCAP by October.
