Arizona will get its second LEGO Store next month when a new location opens at Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale.
The 2,125-square-foot store near the Disney Store and Build A Bear Workshop is larger than the existing Chandler Fashion Center location and will celebrate its grand opening with weekend-long festivities Oct. 22-24.
The party gets started 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, with a LEGO Master Builder creating an 8-foot model of Jedi Master Yoda from LEGO Star Wars that will be revealed 5 p.m. the following Sunday. Throughout the weekend, kids can help build the Yoda model and all participants will receive a certificate of achievement.
More from mall owner Westcor:
The new store will come complete with a variety of hands on play experiences for kids of all ages. The Master Build Bar is where LEGO fans of all ages can view LEGO Club TV videos, play games, learn how to build cool LEGO models and more. The Pick A Brick wall features dozens of LEGO bricks and elements in all sizes and colors where customers can customize their collection. Additionally, the new digital “out of box” elements allow children to hold a LEGO set in front of a camera that will then transform and build a 3D model on the screen.
