A new fan magazine with a funny name is devoted to the portrayal of the sci-fi cult classic Doctor Who in comic strips.
Vworp Vworp! — named after the distinctive sound effect made by the Doctor’s mode of transport, the TARDIS — is now taking pre-orders at www.vworpvworp.co.uk.
Doctor Who has a long history in comics, dating back nearly to the beginning of the TV series in 1963. A regular strip runs in Doctor Who Magazine, a monthly Panini publication that grew out of a weekly published in 1979 by the U.K. division of Marvel Comics. A new comic book series is currently being published by IDW.
