‘Voyager,’ ‘True Blood’ stars join Phoenix Comicon guest list

Phoenix Comicon 2011Phoenix Comicon got two big new TV guest stars on Tuesday: Kristin Bauer, the actress who plays Pam, the vampire bar owner on True Blood, and Robbie Duncan McNeill, who played roguish helmsman Tom Paris on Star Trek: Voyager (though I’ll always remember him from the Masters of the Universe movie).

The pair join a growing list of celebrities that includes Leonard Nimoy, Stan Lee, Billy Dee Williams, Bruce Boxleitner and many more.

The announcement comes just days after a slew of comics-industry guests and musical acts were named, and days before the Feb. 10 kickoff preview event at the Memorial Day weekend event’s venue, the Phoenix Convention Center. Organizers will reveal more guests and convention exclusives, lead a walkthrough of the event’s new space in the facility’s north building and give out prizes — but they are also looking for volunteers to help make Phoenix Comicon even better as it continues to grow.
