Warner Bros. Television has released the first image of The Flash star Grant Gustin in costume as the pilot episode begins production.

What do you think of this “flat” look — certainly a departure from the iconic, Mercury-inspired DC Comics wardrobe complete with winged earpieces? This design comes from Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, who also designed the costume for CW’s Arrow.
