PHOENIX – We all love the Marvel superheroes (and villains). But not as much as Rick Scolamiero.
It all started in 2011 when Scolamiero got a simple Spider-Man tattoo on his left forearm.
But that wasn’t enough.
From there, he got 30 other Marvel characters tattooed on his entire body (butt cheeks included), which set the Guinness Book of World Records for Most Marvel Comic Book Character Tattoos on the body.
The iconic characters only share the canvas with Bruce Lee and Tupac Shakur.

Scolamiero told Guinness, “I have been a Marvel comic book lover since I was small and growing up we didn’t have much, but I always had my Marvel comic books and Marvel trading cards. They actually got me through some tough times so the idea of having them on my body forever just really appealed to me.”
Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson, is on his torso, while Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk rest on his right leg fighting Fin Fang Foom. The Canadian Marvel fan even has Lego versions of Deadpool and Daredevil on his ankles.
To top it all off, Stan Lee, the famous comic book writer, signed Scolamiero’s wrist, which he later had permanently tattooed on.
“If I had to choose which one was the most painful, I’d have to say the inside of my thigh where I have Hulk on my inner right thigh and Black Cat on my inner left thigh,” Scolamiero said.
