Remember that time Luke Skywalker was going through Obi-Wan Kenobi’s journals, and happened upon a story about Yoda in the time before the Naboo crisis and Clone Wars — but he didn’t know he was reading about the little green Jedi Master he would meet on Dagobah? No? That’s because it never happened — but that soon will change, thanks to Marvel Comics’ ongoing Star Wars series set after the events of Episode IV — A New Hope.

The Yoda arc kicks off with Star Wars #26 and features a story penned by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Salvador Larroca, who drew the recent Darth Vader series. Aaron says it will be set before Episode I — The Phantom Menace, but don’t expect Yoda to be too young of a whipper-snapper: Qui-Gon Jinn and a younger Obi-Wan Kenobi also make an appearance.

Are you looking forward to learning more about Yoda’s past? Or are some things better left unsaid?
