POOL Together, an indoor, co-op marketplace built in the shell of an abandoned Mervyn’s department store near downtown Mesa, is closing its doors, displacing 29 merchants, according to a report by East Valley Tribune writer Garin Groff.
Former POOL merchant Josh Krize, who ran a coffee shop there, got out a while ago when trouble began to brew. The experience led him to team up with a friend who wanted to open a comic book store, and the dynamic duo recently opened Gotham City Comics & Coffee on Main Street downtown.
