The organizers of Phoenix Comicon announced Thursday that cross-generational Star Trek star Leonard Nimoy will attend the convention on May 28.
The Saturday-only appearance is being billed as his first convention appearance in Arizona in over a decade.
Details on autograph and photo opportunities will be released on February, according to the convention’s website.
Nimoy is Star Trek. His character, Spock, simply can’t die in the minds of fans. His appearance in the Next Generation spinoff ranks among the most popular episodes with fans, as do the Trek movies he directed. And his hefty role lent the 2009 Star Trek reboot movie an undeniable legitimacy.
