The owner of the now-shuttered Atomic Comics chain has a new gig.
Mike Malve has been named a partner at Epic Digital and also will serve as president of the Phoenix web, design and media company’s new entertainment division.
According to a statement by Epic CEO Eric Peterson, Malve will lead the company’s digital entertainment and animation projects. The press release cites Malve’s service on the board of the nonprofit Hero Initiative as well as strong collaborative relationships with Sony, Microsoft, Warner Bros., Fox, Marvel and DC Comics forged over his years of running the nationally renowned Atomic Comics.
The Valley’s four Atomic stores closed abruptly in late August amid bankruptcy proceedings.
