From the brain of Ziggy Marley comes a herbatological hero, Marijuanaman, hitting stores today (April 20), appropriately enough.
But the five-time Grammy winner and Reggae icon and son of Bob Marley insists it’s not the type of comic you’d think it is.
“Marijuanaman represents the hope of the future… the hope that we will utilize all of the power that the universe has given us to save our planet,” Marley explained.
Written by Joe Casey (Godland, Butcher Baker), illustrated by Jim Mahfood (Kick Drum Comix, Mix Tape) and published by Image Comics, the hardcover graphic novel tells the tale of a noble extraterrestrial champion, who has arrived on Earth to deliver an important message, and at the same time save his own planet.
