The teaser trailer for Man of Steel, which was attached to The Dark Knight Rises, is now available online from Yahoo! Movies. You can watch it below — and yes, that is Howard Shore’s music from The Lord of the Rings that you are hearing. The actual movie will be scored by Hans Zimmer (TDKR, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) — not, sadly, John Williams, who composed the iconic Superman theme from the late ’80s and early ’70s that was sampled in both Smallville and Superman Returns.

There actually are two versions of the teaser — one with a voiceover by Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent) and another by Russell Crowe (Jor-El).
