Convention director Matt Solberg posted on the event’s guest list page:
We are sad to announce Patrick Stewart is unable to attend Phoenix Comicon due to filming commitments.We will be refunding all Patrick Stewart solo photo op purchases along with all TNG Cast photo op purchases. Refunds should be complete within the next 72 hours.The TNG Cast photo op will continue with Brent, Marina, LeVar, and Michael and will be repriced and offered for purchase online.We have been fortunate over the years to not have any major guest cancellations, especially this close to our show. It is a risk we take as we book headlining actors, and working actors at that. This really is our first major guest cancellation we have had in over four years.Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support and for your understanding. We will have a great show.Now let’s see what else we have up our sleeves …🙂
Filming commitments? This had better be Xavier- or Picard-related. I’m sure it won’t be, but we can dream.
