Phoenix, Ariz – Luke Perry’s final episode of Riverdale will air this week on the CW nearly two months after the actor’s death.

Perry, previously known for his work on Beverly Hills, 90210, played Fred Andrews, dad to Archie on the CW series.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the show’s creator, revealed via Twitter the episode airing this Wednesday, is the last featuring Fred, Perry’s character in the show.

“This week’s #Riverdale is the last episode Luke filmed,” Aguirre-Sacasa stated in a tweet later Sunday morning. “As always, Fred’s imparting words of wisdom to Archie. A beautiful, true moment between a father and his son.”

The episode is titled “Chapter Fifty-Four: Fear the Reaper,” Jellybean goes missing, which prompts Jughead, Gladys and FP to follow a series of clues to get her home. Fred’s son Archie deals with the fallout from his latest boxing match.

While it is unclear how Riverdale will address Perry’s death on the show, fans can be sure that it will be heartwarming.

Perry passed away unexpectedly in March following a stroke. His death left family, friends and Riverdale fans feeling saddened by his absence.

Perry’s final episode will air Wednesday, April 24, on the CW.
