Arkham Asylum video game teaser

Fans of Batman and video games will be pleased to hear a new title is on the way. Even better, it’s going to be a dark, gritty, third-person action/stealth game that pits the Caped Crusader against his greatest foes in the ultimate loony bin — Arkham Asylum.

Eidos and Warner Bros. have announced Batman: Arkham Asylum is under development for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and is scheduled for a 2009 release. The storyline is unknown but safe in the hands of longtime Batman writer Paul Dini (Detective Comics, Batman: The Animated Series).

“Players become Batman, like he has never been seen before in a video game, as he fights through intense circumstances in Arkham Asylum utilizing his intuitive detective skills and aggressive melee attacks.” says Phil Rogers, CEO of Eidos Interactive.

More details will be revealed when the clock reaches zero. Check out the official site for more.
