I’d quit ‘Lost’ for that

Comics, Television

Acclaimed comics scribe Brian K. Vaughan (Y the Last Man, Ex Machina) has left his writing / producing position on ABC’s ‘Lost.’ BKV has been working on the show for the past two and a half seasons. The reasons for his departure haven’t been announced. Though the numerous movies he has in development may have something to do with it. Executive producer Damon Lindelof has merely said “Unfortunately, he has left for greener pastures.”

G4‘s Olivia Munn has a theory, suggesting on her blog that BKV left the show to become her best friend. This was actually jokingly (probably?) confirmed by BKV in an e-mail to Comic Book Resources, his only communication on the matter. If you’re going to leave a hit television show on the brink of its final season, Ms. Munn certainly is a good reason. Whatever the reason, hopefully it’ll mean more comics from the always exceptional Vaughan.
