DuckTales Treasure TroveDuckTales owes its existence to classic comic book adventures, and now the new version of the beloved animated TV series is already getting a graphic novel along with an ongoing companion series from IDW.

Out in November, DuckTales: Treasure Trove will collect the first two issues of the new comics as well as an introductory issue #0 set before the series premiere, which came out last month on Disney XD. (The ongoing TV series begins airing Sept. 23 with two new episodes back to back.)

According to IDW, “DuckTales: Treasure Trove is told from the vantage point of Scrooge McDuck’s young companions as they prepare to meet their wealthy great-uncle for the first time. Written by Eisner-Award nominated comic book creator Joe Caramagna and illustrated by a passel of Italy’s finest Disney artists, this title is set to bring you a mix of vibrant new Duckburg short stories set in the world of the animated series.”

The 6-by-9-inch, 80-page trade paperback will retail for $9.99.
