Superheroes make a living out of saving lives, but in Marvel’s “Captain America: A Little Help” released today, the story tackles a heavier twist on the subject.

The 11-page story is about a suicidal young man who, through a chance encounter with Captain America, decides to seek help instead by calling the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

The story is available for free at, as well as on Marvel’s app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. It can be found in print in I Am An Avenger #5 limited series, which also went on sale Wednesday.
