‘Captain America’ runs on Dunkin

Current D&D Campaign Adventures - Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden

Captain America Coolatta at Dunkin' DonutsThe fireworks may have come and gone, but a Dunkin’ Donuts store in Tempe will be celebrating America on Thursday morning — Captain America, that is.

From 6 to 9 a.m., the Dunkin’ at 1740 E. Broadway Road will be hosting a patriotic-themed event with a water-balloon toss, “dunk” tank, shield-making craft inspired by the Marvel superhero and free comic books from Samurai Comics in Phoenix. There will also be a prize pack of advance screening passes to the Captain America movie and gift cards to Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins for the first 50 people who arrive dressed as their favorite superhero.

If you don’t feel like donning your superduds, you can still get free Munchkin donuts and Captain America-inspired Coolata drinks, while supplies last.

DD is also running an online promotion to win tickets to a Marvel movie premiere, along with free 30-day trial subscriptions to Marvel Digital Comics with purchase of limited-edition Captain America Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards.
