According to the Los Angeles Times’ Hero Complex blog, Amy Adams will play Superman’s love interest Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s reboot of the Man of Steel franchise.
Despite a background in rom-coms and family films (she played Amelia Earhart in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian) and strong dramatic acting chops (she was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in The Fighter), Adams already has some geek cred going for her: She played Tara’s cousin Beth in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and even has visited the Superman universe once before, playing a teenager with a Kryptonite-enhanced eating disorder early in the first season of Smallville, then on the WB network.
