Amazing Arizona Comics ELECTION EXTRA: ‘Sheriff Joe No More!’

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio loses re-election bid!

To mark the historic defeat ending Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s six-term tenure, Amazing Arizona Comics creator Russ Kazmierczak Jr. has crafted a special ELECTION EXTRA editorial cartoon for Nerdvana, drawing and coloring the piece in real time as he watched election results come in live.

The one-panel comic pays homage not only to Arpaio’s service — controversial as it may have been — but also to his heroic comic-book alter-ego’s secret identity, and the iconic full-page panel in Amazing Spider-Man #50: “Spider-Man No More!”

Is this the last we’ve seen of Kazmierczak’s Amazing Arizona Comics version of Arpaio? Who knows? Keep reading!
