Saturday at the 2016 Amazing Arizona Comic Con had a huge crowd out to see renowned comic authors and artists like Steve McNiven, Charles Soule and the Donald Trump of comicdom, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld. There was also a flock of fans in colorful costumes checking out the exhibitors, both local and from across the country. Enjoy our photo recap of Saturday’s activities!

Kylo Ren forced us to take this photo…but he apparently has no power over Slash-Deadpool, and neither does his deceased Grandpa.

Civil War artist Steve McNiven and Letter 44 author Charles Soule took the AACC stage Saturday afternoon to talk about the upcoming Captain America: Civil War film, how to stay focused on your work and how to break into the comic book profession. They also hinted at collaborating on an upcoming Captain America WWII story.

Mugatu, from Zoolander 2, was on hand to critique Amazing Arizona costumes. His was, of course, one of the best; and it turns out he’s really a pretty nice guy.

Local hero and comic creator Denny Riccelli was showing off his Cousin Harold catalog and capturing the attention of new fans.

Hannah and Jake of Magic and Mischief Cosplay were keeping the festivities patriotic (and safe) on the Amazing Arizona show floor.

Rob Liefeld always has an action-packed panel discussion at Amazing Arizona Comic Con, and with the release of the Deadpool film this weekend, he was extra fired up for the fans.
