It’s finally here! The official title for the newest installment in the Star Wars saga. Lucasfilm revealed the title for Episode VII via their social media platforms this morning: The Force Awakens.
I’m sure people will complain, but I love it, and I’m glad it didn’t follow the “Age of ….” trend.
In related news, rumors are spreading that a one-minute teaser trailer is cut and ready to show this fall/winter. Still no official word.
Thoughts on what holiday movie we may see our first The Force Awakens teaser? My money’s on Into the Woods (it’s the only major Disney release this holiday season).
Do you like the new title?
Might take some getting used to. It certainly gave me goosebumps to see a title at last! It’s mysterious and sends my mind whirling with possibilities, kind of like The Phantom Menace did back in the day.
I wonder if they’re dropping the Episode nomenclature altogether….
