Check out the surprises Blizzard has in store for us during Winter Veil!
While Winter Veil originated in World of Warcraft, this year sees it spread to even more Blizzard properties like Heroes of the Storm and HearthStone!
Diablo 3 – Check out the Patch 2.4.0 preview of Greyhollow Island and learn what is in store for us soon! Ever wonder what completing a journey is like on Hardcore? See it from developer Wyatt Cheng! Oh and my tip for you about the Journey? After you complete all 4 Acts of your Journey, make sure you open the page back up and click on the button to get a “hidden” Act!
HearthStone – Both The Ruined City and The Hall of Explorers wings of the latest expansion are now opened!! Oh and Winter Veil is upon us in HearthStone too with festive boards, emotes, PLUS a holiday deal of 50 classic card packs for $49.99!! The latest patch notes have some small tweaks like the December Slammin’ Shaman card back, and a few more months shown as well! Did you make the top 100 for the Ranked Play Season this month?! If so, let us know how you did it! :}
Heroes of the Storm – We get Winter Veil in Heroes starting Tuesday!! As presents we get free stimpacks as quest rewards, a festive mount available only during the holiday season, AND brand new skins with some old festive skins returning as well!! I can’t wait!! This week’s Patch Notes have brought a +50% XP boost, all talents are available to all players, and up to TEN heroes are available for players above level fifteen!! Oh, and I can’t forget that the Black Friday 50% off sale on just about everything was NOT stopped this week…it is going until the end of the year now!!! Do you know what else is only going to last until the end of the year?! The Lil’ Stitches plush (and Bikini Stitches in-game skin) will no longer be available in the Blizzard Store!
Of course a rustle in the ranks the past few days has been the Recruit A Friend event so that we can get the Vulture Mount, but the flaw here is that it would have made sense six months ago while people were actively being recruited into the game! There is even a chat channel you can join to get help recruiting enough people for the mount or Cho’gall quest (speaking of here is a Felicia Day ad about that) too! Do you follow Dustin Browder on Twitter? You SHOULD! This past week he dropped the following: StarCraft maps aren’t out of the question, the versus AI option is being looked at to get beefed up, Lunara might be released before the end of the year, and seasons might follow the three month format Diablo is planning on adopting.
Overwatch – You probably already know that the Beta closed down on the 9th but did you read the PC gamer article about this featuring Chris Metzen?! Who or what has been, or will be, Doomfist in the future!?! Lots of questions!! Also, check out an early tips guide too!
StarCraft 2 – The Nova Covert Ops mission packs are now available for preorder! Did you know that a new co-op commander is coming as well!? Make sure to help Blizzard test burrowing with a new Balance test map!
World of Warcraft – Did you know that Legion Alpha testing has started with some new zones!?! Don’t forget to give to Make-A-Wish by buying Brightpaw the Mana Kitty or get some other pets and mounts that are 50% off until the end of the month!! Then find out what is going on in game during December and what minor Hotfixes were applied over the past few weeks! There were some new pieces of art from fans and Blizzard too then check out this community spotlight on Crendor! Check out polls on Demon Hunters and what mount/pet combinations fans like!
Twitter Question of the Week – Q: @DustinBrowder I know that @BlizzHeroes has a quick release schedule but are you planning on holding/bundling for an expansion some day? A: Even though Dustin answers a lot of stuff, I didn’t get this one answered…yet…but I think it is a good question to ask because I wonder what would make them change from their heroes and map releases every few weeks? The Warcraft movie? Expansions for future games like Overwatch? Possibilities!
