Hi faithful readers!  I’ve returned from a long sabbatical to give you a quick recap of BlizzCon 2017!

Diablo 3 – This year for BlizzCon the Diablo developers had to post before the event to let everybody know to not expect any big news, and the only thing to expect there was a special convention-only experience in the demo grounds.  That is kind of disappointing, but understandable with the recent expansion Rise of the Necromancer coming out just four months prior to BlizzCon this year.

HearthStone – In the latest expansion, Kobalds & Catacombs, this is more than just another set of cards, as the team has added more features to the game with Dungeon Runs, legendary weapons for every class, and a new Recruit keyword for cards!

Heroes of the Storm – The big reveal here is the double dragons Alexstrasza and Hanzo were joining the Nexus!  If you watch the cinematic, it seems like this is just the start of what might be a long storyline for the game, which was hinted at a long time ago when Gul’dan joined the game.  Other changes like early game lane modifications, updates to stealth characters, and a major revamp of matchmaking were announced as well!

Overwatch – The short Honor and Glory was really amazing to see, as somebody who made Reinhardt pretty close to a main character as you can in this game, early on when Overwatch was first released!!  Then we had the new hero Moira introduced, as well as the Blizzard World map which imagines if Blizzard was a real company in the Overwatch universe and they put a theme park together!

StarCraft 2 – The future of StarCraft lies in new content being delivered like the duo Commander Han and Horner being released, multiplayer updates for all races, another War Chest, and the original expansion Wings of Liberty going free to play with some extras included too!

World of Warcraft – The next phase of Azeroth begins with the Battle for Azeroth expansion!  Find out all the information here, including the opt-in for the beta!

Next up is something few people expected to come out of Blizzard, but they are going to work on World of Warcraft: Classic which is in the initial planning stages, yet we think that the general outline is it would be a static version of the game based on close to WoW around the initial Vanilla release or even the Burning Crusade expansion that would not progress with story or patching.

In other slightly less important news, is a physical plush of Shadow the Fox in-game pet and an awesome looking Sylvanas statue!

Later he found the original Diablo and StarCraft games to get hooked on Blizzard games and eventually stopped playing SNES games trading them for PC games because of the online persistence of worlds like SWG and WoW.
