The Overwatch Beta date has been released and it is closer than you think!

This week saw the exciting announcement of the Overwatch Beta starting Oct. 27 which comes out before BlizzCon, and we have seen Blizzard starting to ramp up for BlizzCon this week too!  So much so, that I had to add a new heading to contain all the information!

BlizzCon – There was SO much released this week, I don’t know where to start!  Maybe with the hosts of the Virtual Ticket (and on site too) or how about the Map and Schedule instead?!  It doesn’t matter, I’m just SOOOO excited to see this stuff get released because it reminds me how we are just a few weeks away from the event!  We are also getting our own version of the Darkmoon Faire with Slaughtered Calf Inn replica too!!  Don’t want to wait for your chance to get exclusive BlizzCon swag?  Then check out the pre-sale already going on followed by checking out a few groups taking part in contests this year like Awesome City Limits and the Pan-Galactic Blizzard Jazz Orchestra! Finally, there are new Heroes of the Storm models for cosplaying!

Diablo 3 & HearthStone – Nothing to see here folks.  Move along.  Move along. :}

Heroes of the Storm – Don’t miss out on the last chance to get the Treasure Goblin mount as it will be leaving in just over a week!  Of course I mentioned this before, but Artanis is coming to Heroes and here is his hero page!  There were a few minor changes in a hotfix this week, and there are more coming too!  No round up of Heroes is complete without mentioning the Weekly Sale which has a skin for Valla plus the “hero” Anub’arak with one of his skins too!!

Overwatch – Did you catch the livestream of the Beta preview?  If not, you can always view the replay!  Then get ready to sign up for the Beta which starts in phases on October 27th!

StarCraft 2 – Minor fixes in Patch 3.0.1 this week with even smaller updates in the Balance Update but the background download to prepare for Legacy of the Void is anything but small!  While we wait for more story in the game, check out the new online short story and then prepare to read the online Artanis comic book this coming week!  Have you helped grow the SC2 community?  Did you see if you were granted the Community Commander portrait in game yet?

World of Warcraft – This week was all about Pepe, both in WoW, with the stuffed version going on sale too, and the #IFoundPepe hashtag appearing to go viral this week on Twitter with all the mentions and retweets by the Blizzard Twitter accounts!!  Almost as big as Pepe was this week is the preview of Patch 6.2.3 and the Patch Notes that go with it that outline new features like Cataclysm Timewalking and Cross-Realm Mythic raiding which make the small Patch 6.2.2 Hotfixes seem rather useless!  Hopefully you’ve been able to take advantage of the Arena Skirmishes triple honor this weekend and if you aren’t, check out the Community Spotlight on a member that has several YouTube videos with over a million views!!  Finally, make sure you take part in the poll this week on Monuments in your Garrison.

Twitter Question of the Week – Q:  @BlizzHeroes @DustinBrowder Any thought to achievements in game? X # of escapes at 1% HP, x # of minions/turrets destroyed by hero w/power?  A:  I think I’ve asked something like this one before, but every time I play and make it out of an engagement with less than 50 HP I wish I could get advancement towards an achievement!!  Then, I’d like to get credit for all of the actions a Hero like Gazlowe could have like placing turrets, stunning Heroes, killing minions, and the list could go on and on and on as achievements across all of the Heroes too!!
