We may not have covered it much, but Heroes of the Storm is now LIVE and free to play!
There are a LOT of cross-promotional items so you can earn items in other Blizzard games due to your advancement in Heroes and vice versa in Heroes with your progress in other games, so check out all the items in the Blitz this week! Other than that, there are not a whole lot of other updates on games since their development teams are probably playing Heroes with us for a few weeks. :}
Diablo 3 – We had a few weeks of Play Your Way Thursday, so this week is the time to poll the players on which one we enjoyed the best! Notice this is the only update, BUT we had a new map for Heroes designed after the struggle between Heaven and Hell plus the Butcher was released as a playable “hero” as well within the last few days!!
HearthStone – Reach level 12 in Heroes and obtain a very nice Heroes-themed card back and then start winning some more games so you can reach 100 wins in Play Mode which will unlock a new mount in Heroes (eventually when it is released)! Speaking of card backs, check out the awesome druid themed Darnassus card back for June 2015 Ranked Play Season!! Read the Innkeeper’s Tale about a mysterious patron before seeing who the patron really is! I understand what is happening here, Blizzard has found out how much money they can make off of micro-transactions from Alpha and Beta Heroes sales, but I don’t understand what this really brings to the game other than identifying those players that have (had) too much money on their hands!! Also, don’t miss hearing from the Ogre Brute addressing the media after a new ad blitz that I’ve seen the last few days during some high profile sporting events!
Heroes of the Storm – Heroes of the Storm is now live!! This post pulls together a lot of things like a link to the free to play client, having the new hero Johanna the Crusader released, and a bevy of Patch Notes that detail special things like an exclusive player portrait for logging in before June 9th or how the 25% XP bonus ramps up to 100% by the end of June 24th!! Log into Facebook to get access to an exclusive mount reward the Mechanospider! Want to learn more about Ranked Play? Take a gander at this post about conversations the community is having about this feature and learn about the future of Ranked Play after this “Preseason” goes on for a bit! Talking about high level Heroes play, find out what the road to the World Championship at Blizzcon looks like! Did you get to watch The Mayhem Begins live stream? If you didn’t, you may have missed the new map for Heroes designed after the struggle between Heaven and Hell plus the Butcher was announced as a playable assassin too!! Our weekly updates would not be complete without the Weekly Sale which this week features SIX different items like Tyrael, Kerrigan, Arthas or a limited edition mount as part of many different limited edition items returning to the game that had been previously removed from the shop!!

World of Warcraft – Like collecting everything you can in WoW? Well how about enjoying some time in the new Heroes game so you can collect a Grave Golem pet!?! All you need to do is reach level 20 in Heroes and then you can receive this in WoW! Oh, and if you have a level 100 character in WoW that means you can log into Heroes to collect a special Ironside Dire Wolf mount as well!!
While Patch 6.2 introduces big nerfs to the Balance druids with a 4% decrease in their damage output on the PTR, you can check out the sneak peeks for Ashran Updates to the PvP zone and the massive Hellfire Citadel raid!! Twitter Question of the Week – Q: @BlizzHeroes Where is the interface for guild/clan/community building in Heroes?!? Need something more than adding people to a friends list! A: Of course the question this week is related to the new Heroes game, and you have to wonder why the game has been in Alpha and Beta testing for more than a year without any options for building a guild or clan within the game. Maybe if somebody at Blizzard replies to me, I can let you know why. :}
