Blizzard Entertainment

Check out a massive amount of WoW updates as the Overwatch machine starts up!

While my vacation started Thursday, I remained plugged into the Blizzard world but I just did not see a whole lot get released and hoped that Monday would change that.  Unfortunately that did not happen, but I tried people!!  Maybe everybody will go back to work at Blizzard over THIS week and we will get a lot of things released over THIS week!

Diablo 3 – Check out how to participate in the Public Test Realm for D3, and then take a gander at the PTR Patch Notes for all the goodies we’ve talked about previously finally getting into our hands including just what Kanai’s Cube will be able to do for us!  After you digest all of that, see how a new wizard set is enhancing the existing Tal Rasha set for Play Your Way Thursday this week!

HearthStone – Find out if the July 2015 Ranked Play Season card back is worth fighting for (remember you need to get 100 wins in HearthStone for your Heroes card back mount) and find out what the Annoy-o-Tron had to say to the media.

Heroes of the Storm – Did I mention last week that the Eternal Conflict was going to drop this week with the latest patch?!?  How about it being Butcher Hero Week?!  Never forget the Weekly Sale, focused this week on Brightwing and Zagara!  Then check out this pretty in-depth expose on Tempo Storm, one of HotS top competitive playing teams in the battle to reach BlizzCon 2015!!  Also.  It can’t go without mention that the folks at Blizzard put out a “make good” with the players because you may remember I was a bit harsh when they ended the +100% XP bonus by a whole day, and they gave us an entire holiday weekend of additional bonus XP!  Thank you Blizzard, Dustin Browder, and Mike Morhaime who I may have chewed out a bit on Twitter.  This kind of response to negative feedback from the players is exactly why I enjoy playing Blizzard games!!

Overwatch – Boy what changes a week can bring!  Let’s start with the reminder that Overwatch news is now live through many different social media channels, followed by the chance to play it at gamescom 2015, ANNNNND the introduction of Jack Morrison (no relation to Jim, probably) who may or may not have had a hand in a recent string of high-tech robberies!!  While he has obvious Captain America overtones, the interplay between Morrison and Reyes, with one of them likely being under the Reaper mask, sounds like just the kind of good versus evil kind of interaction Blizzard has based just about every one of their franchises on.

StarCraft 2 – Nothing to see here folks.  Move along.  Move along.

World of Warcraft – There was quite a bit of work done in WoW this week with a reminder of what events July brings, Warlords PvP Season 2 starting, minor Hotfixes on June 26th and July 6th (hey that’s today!), an Apexis Crystal bonus over the holiday weekend, and a review of Azeroth’s best beaches!  Is that not enough?!  Are you NOT ENTERTAINED?!!?  Okay, this isn’t Sparta but don’t forget about the WoW North American Arena qualifier!  After you’ve caught up on all of that, check out the new Timewalking instance Ahn’kahet from Northrend PLUS a guide to the Black Market Auction House (which I didn’t even know was a thing) and how it might be easier to reach than ever with Patch 6.2 dropping!  Finally, don’t miss the new additions to the Warlords of Draenor art gallery!!

Twitter Question of the Week – I was a slacker!  I was on vacation!!  I’ll do better next time!!!  Promise!!!!  Hey, I’m taking credit for getting you all double XP in Heroes so you owe ME okay?  :}
