The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts limited edition Master SwordThe Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts, the gorgeous tribute to Nintendo’s venerable adventure game franchise announced late last year, just got an upgrade.

A special limited-edition version of the 400-plus page book will feature a life-size, 3-D embossed sculpt of the legendary Master Sword with a metallic foil finish.

The Master Sword itself is illustrated on the book’s cover, while the ornamental scabbard is part of a transparent slipcase. So, the effect is that the sword “unsheathes” as you remove the book upward through the outer case.

Both versions of Art & Artifacts will contain fully realized artistic masterpieces, exclusive interviews with the artists behind the beloved video game franchise, the official pixel art of the early series and rare promotional art never before published in this format.

The limited edition will cost $79.99 retail when it goes on sale Feb. 21. You can pre-order it now on Amazon (and support Nerdvana in doing so!).
