Everyone knows Dungeons & Dragons was the first tabletop RPG on the market — but do you know about the second roleplaying game? Tunnels & Trolls has had a huge following since its debut in 1975, and many of the game’s creative forces are based in the Valley. Now original designer Ken St. Andre has re-teamed with his collaborators for a deluxe edition of T&T, backed by a successful campaign on Kickstarter that was just recently funded.
If you’re not familiar with T&T, there’s never been a better time to change that. Ken describes it on his project blog as “as a cross between Lord of the Rings and superheroes from Marvel Comics.” What’s not to love about that?
