Tom BakerA post on Tom Baker’s official website reveals that the longtime iconic Doctor Who star has been in talks to record a story for Big Finish Productions, which has been making new adventures with the show’s original stars since before the TV series was resurrected in 2005.

Last year Baker recorded Hornets’ Nest, a series of five original plays for BBC Audio. His 1974-81 stint in Doctor Who is widely considered to be the definitive take on the itinerant Time Lord.

Baker was apparently asked in a fan Q&A what he would do if he had carte blanche to return to Who, and the actor replied that he had pitched some ideas that Big Finish has accepted.
