Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was released today in hardback. It’s a novel by Seth Grahame-Smith.

And before long, it will be a movie produced by Tim Burton and Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov. They’re still looking for a studio and a director, but don’t underestimate the power of revisionist 19th century period pieces. Late last year, the publishing sensation Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was snapped up by nascent producer Natalie Portman and Donnie Darko creator Richard Kelly.
